EPLN Board Member Application
Thank you for your interest in El Paso Leadership Network! This application is open to all proud El Pasoans who are currently enrolled in a university or are current professionals. You are invited to apply if you would like to take part of the network that will revolutionize and reshape higher education in El Paso, Texas. Our goal is to foster greater educational and professional opportunities for high school students and invest in the future of our city and community.
This is a virtual position, and does not require you to be currently residing in El Paso. Please note that this is an unpaid, volunteer role requiring an average of 2 hours a week. If you're selected to be a part of the executive team, you will automatically be nominated to be a potential mentor for a high school student in our EPLN Rising Scholars program.
Description
The Community Manager is responsible for maintaining internal engagement and communication within the organization to optimize member experience, social connections, and learning opportunities.Â
Responsibilities
Ensure mentors and mentees relate to the El Paso Leadership Network organization, are currently updated with how they can contribute and recognize their role within the community.
Act as liaison between the EPLN and Progress321 members/leadership
Promote engagement through with EPLN through a variety of means including WhatsApp and email communication
Send news updates to mentors and mentees with opportunities to engage with and contribute to EPLN
Create opportunities for EPLN members to engage with EPLN
Organizes Webinars, fireside chats, in-person events in collaboration with Rising Scholars program facilitatorÂ
Track attendance to EPLN webinars and in-person events
Qualifications
Current college student or young professional from El Paso, Texas
Knowledge of program management through relevant work experience or college coursework
Strong communication and analytical skills
